Dr. Tongia was trained in New York and moved to the Athens area in 2005. He is the only Cardiologist in the region to hold multiple board certifications in Interventional, Clinical and Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Cardiac CT, and Internal Medicine – credentials emphasizing the commitment to a multimodality approach to patient care. His focus is on aggressive primary and secondary preventative care of cardiac disease. He has active privileges at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Tongia enjoys spending his spare time with his family and traveling.
